Obedience. That sums up what it means to follow Jesus. He was willing to sacrifice everything and He did. We need to obey through it all even to the point of death. Our life in Christ is what matters.
In this message Pastor Tim Rigdon shares scriptures that highlight the importance of obedience in our Christian foundation!
Philippians 2:8 NKJV
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Hebrews 5:8-9 NKJV
though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him
Psalm 128:4 AMP
Behold, for so shall the man be blessed and divinely favored Who fears the Lord [and worships Him with obedience]
Romans 5:19 NKJV
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Romans 1:5 AMP
It is through Him that we have received grace and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name’s sake among all the Gentiles,
Romans 6:15-18 NKJV
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
