Cut the Line

Today's Scriptures and Notes:
1 Peter 5:7 NKJV “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
You cannot truly cast your cares on God if you keep holding the line.
1. GOD NEVER ASKED YOU TO CARRY WHAT HE ASKED YOU TO CAST
What was in my hands goes into His hands
Some things are too heavy for you, because they were never designed to be carried by you
You are responsible for obedience
God is responsible for the outcome
You are responsible for doing what He tells you
God is responsible for what happens next
2. THE PROBLEM ISN’T ALWAYS THE CAST
…SOMETIMES IT’S THE LINE
You can cast something
…and still have a connection to it
The bait left your hand,
…but the line is still attached
…because the line is attached,
…you can always reel it back in
We need to cut the line
As long as the line is attached,
… you can always take it back
3. CASTING MEANS
…TRUSTING GOD WITH WHAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL
It’s letting go
4. YOU DON’T HAVE TO KEEP
… WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY TAKEN
5. JESUS IS BETTER AT CARRYING IT THAN YOU ARE
“Upon Him”
Because He cares for you
God is not annoyed by your cares
Your anxiety doesn’t overwhelm Him
6. CUT THE LINE
Cast it,
…and trust Me
“Now cut the line”
