Today's Scriptures and Notes:

Lamentations 3:17-23 ESV

17  my soul is bereft of peace; I have forgotten what happiness is;

18  so I say, “My endurance has perished; so has my hope from the Lord.”

19  Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall!

20  My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me.

21  But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:

22  The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;

23  they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

I. God’s Faithfulness …Is Proven By His Past

Deuteronomy 7:9

“Therefore know that the Lord your God, …He is God, …the faithful God…”

One of the greatest faith builders is …remembering what God has already done.

The God who delivered me from the lion and the bear will deliver me from this giant.

David looked backward… before he looked forward.

Sometimes before God gives us a new miracle, …He reminds us of an old one.

If God was faithful yesterday, He will be faithful tomorrow.

II. God’s Faithfulness …Continues During The Storm

Have you ever felt like God was silent …while your storm was raging? The storm could not cancel the promise.

Isaiah 43:2

“When you pass through the waters, …I will be with you.”

Faithfulness doesn’t mean… absence of trouble. Faithfulness means God’s presence …in trouble.

III. God’s Faithfulness …Remains …Even When We Fail

2 Timothy 2:13

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful.”

Because God’s faithfulness …is greater than our failures. The enemy wants failure …to become your identity. God wants failure… to become your testimony.

God is not looking for perfect people,…God is looking for surrendered people.

IV. God’s Faithfulness Supplies Every Need

Philippians 4:19

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Heaven’s resources… have never experienced a shortage.

V. God’s Faithfulness Is Seen At Calvary

The greatest display of faithfulness was the Cross.

Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us,… in that while we were still sinners,… Christ died for us.”

VI. God’s Faithfulness …Will Carry Us …To The Finish

Philippians 1:6

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.”

Jude 24

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling…”

Hebrews 10:23

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
